Greening Maindee
Local plants and wildlife became the starting point for this mural alongside a gardening scheme in Maindee. I worked with the Greening Maindee team and drew on workshops with pupils from Maindee Primary School to develop the design.

A painting alongside the planting
The Greening Maindee team raised the funding, secured permissions and organised the infrastructure for the mural. I worked with them on a design reflecting local plants and wildlife, alongside the gardening scheme along the route.
Workshops with Maindee Primary School pupils helped inform the design. Their involvement connected the painting with a place they knew and used.
Returning to Maindee
This is one of several projects I have worked on in Maindee. The relationships continue across different commissions, while each artwork has its own starting point.
