Commission by Full Colour Maindee. Brief was to create an inspirational image as a gateway to Maindee. I chose swooping swallows on a watercolour sky in an illustration style.
Gateway Garden Maindee
Commissioned by Maindee Unlimited.
I had the privilege of working with RHS award winner April House Gardens and Greening Maindee to design a mural to compliment the planting scheme at this incredible garden.
Llanwern School Wayfinding Murals
One of a pair of murals that mark the entrance to the art department and 'Cedar' areas in the school. The second mural shows the tree large and the Kingfisher small to reflect your change of location.
Big Blue
A dreamy, contemporary fantasy, vision inspired by art nouveau. The design flows along the shape of the vehicle and the subtle shadows and patches of light were painted in direct response to the dappled light that danced across the surfaces as I painted.
Greening Maindee
Commissioned by Greening Maindee.
I worked with the team to develop a design that would reflect many of the local species of flora and fauna. The mural accompanies the gardening scheme along the route and the design was inspired by workshops with pupils from Maindee Primary School
Riverside Park, Newbridge
The image shows work in progress on 4 of 6 pillars that I painted in a trompe l'oeil nature theme. The pillars were painted as part of a regeneration scheme to develop a park on waste-ground beneath the A472
Action for Children triptych
A small commission to create an artwork to decorate the meeting rooms at Beechwood Park, Newport.
I've included this piece to show a more illustrative approach to creating my designs. It also shows a less vibrant colour scheme which was much more suited to the calming space.
Milton Primary School
This is a small section of a 120 metre series of murals in Milton Primary school. This section shows a selection of mushrooms that an be found growing locally
Garden Mural
This garden mural was painted as a private commission in multiple layers of muted tones combined with rich earthy colours for the foreground.
Antenatal Artworks
