I painted this today for Rich & Bev.
The brief was to bring a bit of seaside warmth as a backdrop to their hot tub.
I think it turned out nicely.
Makes me want a deckchair and a pint.

The stuff is called Euroshield and it creates an invisible barrier to protect your work.
It's sacrificial though, so if you wipe off any tagging then you need to reapply 2 layers ...

Watch 2 days painting in 30 seconds.
This is a couple of years old now, but it's still one of my favourite murals to date.
I love the limited palette, the dreamy feel and the dappled light.
All enhanced by the beautiful location in Cornwall.

The Enchanted Woods at night was a great venue and the perfect place to swing our lights.
Great music, amazing lighting installations and a very happy mushy crowd of people.

I painted this a few years ago now and it's still

I painted this a few years ago now and it's still love of my favourites.
It was lovely not to have to rush this and to put all my time into creating all the gradients and reflections that make the image pop.
I get these effects by layering multiple shades of the same colour, overlayed with multiple transparent shades. It's how I love to paint.
We stayed inside the caravan that I was painting and we had 400 acres of land to explore. It was beautiful.

This mural was made in exchange for our stay.

Our lightpainting went down a storm and we had so much positive feedback and so many happy (and amazed) faces.

It was pretty hardcore painting this metal contain

It was pretty hardcore painting this metal container, South facing, no shade in 35 degree heat.
So much of the time it was too hot to make decisions.
The mural is part of a great project by the biodiversity team at Merthyr council who are a lovely bunch. Committed, visionary and good fun to work with.

The work is taking place in Teddington field in Cefn, Merthyr.

Big snakes, big fox, giant ants and now some whopping great mushrooms.
